Isabelle Lostis
11 paintings, in the order the artist chose
For Isabelle, watercolor is a dialogue between water, light and paper. She loves the freedom it offers, its transparency and the touch of the unexpected that makes every piece unique. A painter based in Brittany, she has practised watercolor since her teenage years. Over time she has built a sensitive world of her own, inspired by the beauty around us: the delicacy of a flower, the play of light, landscapes, the simple moments we do not always notice. She loves to reveal this everyday poetry through the transparency, softness and strength of watercolor. She also keeps travel sketchbooks, which let her tell stories and set down on paper lived moments, precious ones, memories. She trained with several artists and today exhibits her work regularly in Brittany. Alongside this, she created Les Rencontres de l'Aquarelle, a project that reflects her wish to share this passion, encourage exchanges between artists and show the full richness of the technique.
