I have been painting in watercolor, with passion, for more than twenty years, close to the region I come from, Normandy, the birthplace of Impressionism. I find most of my inspiration in its seascapes and their surroundings. What fascinates me in watercolor is water moving across a fragile surface, the paper. Under that flow it carries on, wherever the brush takes it, and reveals surprise and emotion. The tension is born of these uncertainties. Transparency and light must remain my leitmotiv.
